Alkalinization, soil – The primary soil process determined by the saturation of the adsorbing complex of soils with sodium. It results in the formation of sodium-saturated soil with some specific properties, such as colloid peptization, destruction of soil aggregates, presence of Na2CO3 and NaHCO3 in soil solution and the high alkalinity of these soils (рН 8.6-8.9)
